The Parallels Between Leaders and Artists

I have been thinking again about the parallels between leaders and artists. When a person has a vivid and compelling vision that others want to follow, that person becomes a leader.

A writer can find inspiration in a variety of things, from lint to a sunset. When they are able to weave those elements of inspiration into a story and inspire others, they become an author.

At on point, all leaders and artists have a feeling of uncertainty. For some, it festers into insecurity. The suffering artist or burdened leader is a cliché. Uncertainly is fine. It is threaded throughout the fabric of life. However, people seldom follow the insecure. Healthy self-esteem and confidence are the hallmarks of successful leaders and artists.
